Privacy Policy

PromptyBox lets you browse, save, copy, and open creative prompts. You can use the app without creating an account.

Information the app uses

The app stores saved prompts, your edited prompt drafts, display preferences, and notification preferences on your device. Clearing app data or using the app's reset control removes this local library. We cannot recover it after deletion.

When you browse, the app requests prompt text and images from PromptyBox servers and image delivery providers. Those services may receive your IP address, device and browser information, and request details needed to deliver content and protect the service. A copy action is sent to our server to update aggregate prompt copy counts. The app does not require your name or email address to browse.

Notifications and external services

If you allow notifications, the app may schedule prompt reminders on your device. You can turn notifications off in the app or your device settings. Opening a prompt in ChatGPT or another installed app leaves PromptyBox; that service has its own privacy policy.

Some optional music is requested from Jamendo when you choose to play it. Image previews may be resized by wsrv.nl. Images are hosted by our media provider. These providers receive the technical request information needed to serve the content.

Advertising

Builds of PromptyBox that include advertising use Google AdMob. Google and its partners may use device identifiers and other data to provide, measure, and protect ads, subject to your consent choices where required. The app shows any required consent form before requesting ads and provides ad privacy choices in Settings when required. Development builds use Google test ads.

Retention and choices

Your saved prompts and preferences stay on your device until you remove them. Server request and engagement records are retained only as needed to operate, secure, and understand the service. You may ask about data we hold or request deletion by emailing hello@promptybox.com. We may need limited information to locate and verify a request because the app has no user accounts.

Security

App requests to PromptyBox use encrypted HTTPS connections. No online service can guarantee complete security; contact us if you believe your information has been exposed.

Children and changes

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We may update this policy as the app and its providers change. The latest version will remain available at this address.
